Rooted is a 10-week discipleship experience designed to help you grow in your relationship with Jesus and build authentic community. Through teaching, prayer, and shared experiences, you’ll explore core aspects of faith and discover what it means to live fully devoted to Christ. Registration is required and includes your materials, launch night experience, and childcare for the duration of Rooted.

Rooted also serves as the launching point for new City Groups and establishes group DNA beyond the initial 10-week Rooted experience. All groups who participate in Rooted have the plan and desire to become ongoing City Groups when Rooted concludes.

  • Rooted is for everyone, from the new Christian to the long time believer. Because it focuses on experiential and practical discipleship, it will serve as a foundation for some, and a refresher and correction for others. It’s also the best way to move into community and build meaningful relationships with others. Everyone should sign up for this!

  • Rooted is a catalyst for life-change through discussion in a small group environment, a safe space for biblical exploration, and practical learning experiences. The weekly readings will teach you what it means to be a disciple of Jesus through Scripture, prayer, worship, generosity, and service.

  • Yes, there will be childcare offered weekly throughout the duration of the Rooted Experience!

  • Because each week builds on the prior week, and community is an important part of the Rooted Experience, we ask participants to attend at least 8 of the 10 sessions. If you know you'll miss three or more weeks, we encourage you to join the next session so you can fully experience Rooted!

  • Meeting dates and times will vary by group. Upon registration, you can let us know your preference for Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday nights. Once you're placed in a group, your Rooted leaders will share your group's specific meeting schedule.

  • Each group meeting will last approximately 1.5-2 hours.

  • All Rooted leaders go through Rooted Leader Training. Please email glenn@citylightbennington.church if you are interested in leading a Rooted group!
