1. A Life Worthy of the Gospel

2. A Life That Wants to Be Changed

📖 Read: John 5:1–9

Jesus asked the crippled man, “Do you want to get well?” Sometimes we become comfortable with unhealthy patterns instead of pursuing healing and freedom.

Key Insight:
🌱 The danger is not stumbling—the danger is settling.

Discussion Questions:

  • What sin, attitude, or habit are you most tempted to normalize?

  • What would repentance and real change look like in that area?

3. A Life Strengthened by Christian Community

📖 Read: Philippians 1:27b–c

Paul calls believers to stand firm together, united in faith and striving side by side for the gospel.

Key Insight:
🤝 God strengthens believers through Christian community.

  • Why is it dangerous to try to follow Jesus in isolation?

  • Who are the people helping strengthen your faith right now?

4. A Life That Stands Firm in a Hostile World

Following Jesus will sometimes put us at odds with the values and priorities of the world around us.

Key Insight:
⚔️ Following Jesus requires courage and conviction.

  • Where do you feel the most pressure to compromise your faith?

  • What does it practically look like to stand firm while still loving people well?

5. A Life That Makes Much of Jesus

📖 Read: Philippians 1:29–30

Jesus willingly suffered to rescue us. Because of the gospel, we can endure hardship knowing Christ is worth it.

Key Insight:
🔥 Jesus is worth living—and suffering—for.

Discussion Questions:

  • What part of the gospel most encourages you right now?

  • What would change if your main goal was making much of Jesus?

Prayer Prompts

Repentance:
“Jesus, help me stop settling and continue changing me.”

“Lord, help me stand firm and follow You faithfully.”
